With Halloween taking place a day after the meeting, let your imagination run wild and bring a spooky MOC this month! A haunted house, graveyard… anything goes!
We’ll be discussing plans for our upcoming holiday display at Airlie Gardens in Wilmington, NC. If you’re interested in displaying/participating, don’t hesitate to drop by!
The Facebook Connect plugin that the NCLUG site has been using was updated and now seems to conflict with the Forum software NCLUG uses. Facebook Connect has been temporarily disabled until the issue is resolved, we apologize for any inconvenience.
The street scene display that NCLUG has on display at the NC State Fair last year (2010) was a big hit and the Fair has asked NCLUG do set up a display again. The 2011 display is in the works, if you are interested in participating, please make sure you check in with the NCLUG mailing list where the discussion is taking place. The display in tentatively planned to be Halloween themed.
The 2011 North Carolina State Fair will be held at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds from October 13-23. The Fair has a LEGO competition for children 18 and under. There are two ages categories, 10-18 and 9 and younger and two entry areas, “North Carolina Themed” and “Original”. You can find complete rules, entry guidelines, and dates in Section EE of the North Carolina State Fair Premium Book.
