In addition to LEGO User Group displays and meetings, there are also occasionally LEGO fan conventions. While NCLUG is represented at nearly every convention (thanks to Joe Meno’s frequent travelling for BrickJournal magazine), Washington DC’s BrickFair is actually our regional convention. There’s also a public expo portion that you can treat the family to.

I understand that we have some people from NCLUG going, but I’m not sure if there are any plans for us to do a group display. Apparently we’ve had a few members who thought they’d be able to attend, but have since had to cancel their plans. If you’re hoping to meet up with anyone in particular, I’d recommend checking ahead of time to verify that he/she is still coming (personally, I won’t be able to go).

No matter what, this promises to be lots of fun for everyone involved and I highly recommend going.

About Dan

Dan is an AFOL previously living in Cary, North Carolina. He is a life-long LEGO fan, but has only fairly recently (2007 onwards) become active in the Adult Fan of LEGO community. He had previously lived in Londonderry, New Hampshire and Sammamish, Washington, and naturally managed to move out just as LEGO stores went into each area. He has not gotten back on his feet after moving out of NC suddenly due to personal concerns in early 2013.
