Monthly Meeting, Barnes and Noble Event this Weekend!

Here’s a quick update on this weekend’s festivities:

On Saturday, June 13th from 1 pm – 5 pm, there will be a building event/contest at the Crabtree Valley Mall Barnes and Noble. There will be 1 hour timed builds to a theme in the children’s area. There will be space for roughly 20 builders for each 1-hour session. The top three builds will be selected in two categories (adults and kids). We will be running a small NCLUG display (a 2 table best-of from a few of us) at this event as well. Sign up for the contest is CLOSED but our display (in the store’s Biography section) will be open to the public.

On Sunday, June 14th from 1 pm – 4:30 pm, we will be having our “regular” and “monthly” NCLUG meeting at the Cameron Village Library. This is for AFOLs new and old, and as with all of our meetings, anyone can come in to join us and talk LEGO. We try to bring what we’ve been building lately to these meetings, and I know a few of us are planning on showing off some of those elusive new summer 2009 kits. Carin’s suggested building theme for this Flag Day meeting is Summer Beach MOCs. Build your best BOAT(s) and bring ‘em. And anything else having to do with the beach in summer

About Dan

Dan is an AFOL previously living in Cary, North Carolina. He is a life-long LEGO fan, but has only fairly recently (2007 onwards) become active in the Adult Fan of LEGO community. He had previously lived in Londonderry, New Hampshire and Sammamish, Washington, and naturally managed to move out just as LEGO stores went into each area. He has not gotten back on his feet after moving out of NC suddenly due to personal concerns in early 2013.
