March NCLUG Meeting

Our March meeting will be in Rm 202A of the Cameron Village Library in Raleigh on March 28th, 2009, from 1:30 PM to 4:45 PM.

Last month, we decided on a “theme” of Castle for this meeting. The “theme” is non-restricting (bring what you’ve been building lately!) and a few of us have taken inspiration from http://www.neoclassicspace.com/ – a website celebrating 30 years since the classic era of LEGO Space began by featuring a new model in the classic style and color scheme every day this month.

NCLUG meetings are open to anyone interested in the LEGO hobby however children must be accompanied by a parent. Bring whatever you are working on or just come for the camaraderie.

January Meeting

We have one more regular meeting before this year’s LEGOPalooza. We will be meeting on Saturday, January 17th, 2009, from 1pm to 4:30pm at the Cameron Village Library, in Rm 202A (upstairs, as usual). Please bring extension cords if you have anything that needs to be plugged in.

It’s not yet to late to be involved with this year’s LEGOPalooza, but this meeting will be our last one while we’re still planning the event.

If you can’t make it to Palooza, you can still come and let us know what you’ve been building lately.

October Meeting

Our next meeting will be on Sunday, October 26th, from 1:30-4:30 pm. We will be at Room 202 of the Cameron Village Library in Raleigh.

There are only 4 tables this time around, so this one will be a little smaller than the last few (read: we’re not planning on bringing trains).

Bring your models! We have a non-restricting theme of spooky/Halloween this month – I’m not sure exactly what our plans are, but here’s what’s on our Yahoo! Group:

The building theme is Halloween or Spooky. Anything halloween-ish, approx no larger than a 32×32 stud baseplate. Vehicles, vignettes, mechs, statues, etc. too. Whatever inspires you.
