The LEGO Store has monthly calendars available for free by the PaB wall (this is handy for the cashiers as well – ask one of them if you don’t see calendars out). These calendars are generally available in the month before they are in effect – allowing people to plan ahead but making it a little harder to scope out promotional specials while you’re in the store.
Grand Opening: We covered the store’s Grand Opening a bit at http://www.nclug.us/?p=125 – this was from May 29th-31st. There was a Yoda Build Event with Master Builder Dan Steininger in the Crabtree Valley Mall “Promotional Court”, and our club produced a number of volunteers for this event. Promotional cards were sent out for this event, and all participants received a DUPLO Promo Brick that featured Yoda’s picture and the phrase “Master Builder Event”. The promotional model for this store’s opening was a miniature version of the Cape Hatteras lighthouse.
