There will be an NCLUG display at this year’s Maker Faire NC. This year’s Maker Faire NC will be at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, from 10AM-5PM on Saturday, June 18th.
There will be no May meeting. As previously announced, our area’s LEGO convention and “fan festival”, BrickMagic, will be open to the public on May 7th and 8th.
We’ll be well-represented during the public hours and private convention part of the event. Although we’ll be enjoying the chance to meet with our fellow LEGO fans from further away, you can visit us at the NCLUG/NCLTC town and train layout.
On Saturday, April 23rd at 4 PM, we’ll be having a draft party at the Concord Mills LEGO store. We will be drafting out set 5766 Creator Log Cabin (which costs $29.99).
Even if you’re not interested in participating in the draft, come on out if you’re in the area – our Charlotte area members are looking to make local meetings a regular occurrence. Our meetings are a great chance to talk shop, show off what we’ve been building lately, and plan displays for upcoming events.
Our next Raleigh-area meeting will be at the Cameron Village Library in Rm 202-A on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 1:30 – 4:30 PM.
